Berla Mundi Instagram – I am bringing this back on the timeline to remind everyone about the devastating effects of Galamsey (illegal mining) on our water bodies and to forest reserves.
Environmental degradation is not something we should tolerate, especially when our future and the future of our children’s children are threatened.
This is a national emergency and must be treated as such. Ban small-scale mining for a while and give our water bodies and forests some breathing space. Remember when the last tree dies, the last man dies. Our water bodies are poisoned, and we can’t sit aloof!

Unfortunately, it is heavily polluted by illegal mining activities to the extent that locals can not drink from , cook, and wash with it, fish and swim in it, or irrigate their farmlands anymore due to the presence of poisonous chemicals.
