Elaine Hendrix Instagram – Full circle. I went to high school at Northside School of Performing Arts in Atlanta, GA. I graduated in 1989. The experience at that school changed my life. It’s where I discovered I could make a career as a performer. It’s where I learned skill, professionalism & discipline. I made lifelong friends and unforgettable memories. That time in my life holds a very special place in my heart as does that school.
Today, 35 years and 150 credits later, I’m back on Northside’s campus filming a movie. (Though it’s now a middle school and no longer Northside). I could have never predicted the path my life would take. Being back here is a beautiful reflection on just how far I’ve come. The risks I took, the highs and lows, and ultimately the journey itself.
This is where it started. I’m grateful for every single step. Even the hard ones. It’s been incredible.

1. In the courtyard outside where the dance room had been (I majored in dance and started my career as a professional dancer).
2. In the gym where I cheered in pep rallies and at basketball games. (Now a prom set which is funny b/c we didn’t even have our prom in the gym – we had it at a hotel).
