Gabriella Pizzolo Instagram – Today’s feed might look like nothing more than a flood of pink clothing worn by thinkers, artists and innovators alike. But it’s also so much more than that. It’s about your history, your narrative, your future, and whatever makes you proud about it. Growing up in the United States meant that I understood a fundamental truth from an early age: that every person who is eligible deserves to exercise their right to vote! It’s not about how removed or invested in politics you may consider yourself; voting is beyond just politics, it’s one of the only ways that every person is guaranteed a fair chance at being heard. We all exist in this world, together, at the same point in time. And the people who came before us fought for this right.
On a more personal note, this year is the first that I am eligible to vote for a presidential candidate! For me, taking part means that I can finally join in a practice that people of all kinds have fought to obtain – from our formation, all the way to today. Our battles are far from over, but we’re dressed in pink as an expression of our joy and our power that we’re fortunate to bring to the polls.
