Helen Hunt Instagram – I consider myself pretty good at appreciating my life and the people in it.
I mean I’ve done 100 productions of Our Town. I know that what matters is trying to treasure “…every, every minute.” And I know that we can’t really do it but some of us try really hard and that’s something. I knew to treasure every minute with Eric. I knew this thing would win in the end. I knew I spoke to him every day and that the loss would be enormous. I guess what I didn’t quite know was that his presence, his kindness, his humor, his honesty, his love for his family and his friends (new and old) his utterly one-of-a-kind-ness acted like a pin that kept some part of me upright and when it got pulled the other day, when he was gone, that part of me just landed in a pile on the ground. I guess that’s what that kind of sweetness and decency does. It holds up the people around you.
Here we are a while ago. We always thought this photo made us look fabulous. (I’m not sure we were quite as happy as the photo looks) And here’s another one from very, very recently. I think in this photo we were even happier than the photo looks. We were relaxed, and we knew life had teeth and we were surviving it. We were older and better for it in a way.

I hope the sound of your laugh, is bellowing somewhere, making all the other souls smile like we all did.
