She was a chorus girl in traveling commercials during the 40s. She was an incredible singer, dancer and the original boss ass bitch(her own words). She bucked the social norms of her time and truly lived as an independent woman going after her dreams and not letting society box her into the role of “perfect woman”. She’s told me many stories of her adventures in Japan and the experience of being able to buy her mother a house at 35years old.
She met her husband Bill when she was 40 years old and they built the house that she still lives in to this day 40 years ago.
When I asked her if she had any advice for us youngins, she said,”Stop giving a rats ass what other people think or expect of you. People will always have opinions about what you should be doing… but they’re dead and gone and I have no regrets. Live the life that makes you happy and enjoy every second. Life is long… but boy does it feel like a blink of your eyes.”
She has no regrets and only wishes that she could’ve danced with Bill cheek to cheek for the first time over and over again.
