Tasya Teles Instagram – I recently packed my bags to spend a few months in LA. Here’s a snapshot of how it’s been treating me…

Tasya Teles Instagram – Sitting in my car. 7am. Alone. Eyes crusty. Still dark outside — a very rainy morning. Not just rainy, the kind of rain that goes sideways and whips you in the face. Stormy, freezing, windy. Brutal. Winter in Canada. The ocean was covered in wood and debris from the storm. And all I could think was, “Why the hell did I decide to do a 30-day cold plunge challenge?” Surely, it’s fine to take a day off. No, no, no. I’m doing this. I stepped outside, walked through the heavy rain to the shore, stripped down, and marched into the ocean with a determination I haven’t felt in years. Surprisingly… it wasn’t that bad. It actually felt great. Maybe the dismal weather outside amplified my sense of accomplishment. Who knows.

I’m not going to talk about the obvious benefits of cold plunging, that’s just a Google away. Yes, there was a dramatic upgrade in how I was feeling mentally and physically. Yes, my sleep was better. My moods, my body, and generally everything: better.

As I think back on all the years of crazy things I’ve tried, this one is undoubtedly the best. The health benefits are awesome but what made this journey truly extraordinary was the feeling of resilience that came with it. Despite the constant struggle every morning to crawl out of bed into the freezing cold car, I rediscovered the thrill of facing fears, dealing with discomfort, and feeling like a total badass for doing something hard. It was a reminder that the key to success is battling through the mental blocks and obstacles no matter what comes your way. Not to mention the fun I had with amazing friends who joined me in this crazy challenge. I love you guys!

I hate cold showers, but I will forever love a good cold plunge. Consider me converted. 🧊
