Anjali Patil Instagram – **Securing an official selection at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival, after already being recognized at the India International Film Festival of Boston, is a huge achievement for us!** 🎬 „Soch: A Perception“ was a labor of love, created against all odds. Shooting in the freezing winter of Shimla during the COVID-19 lockdown presented challenges we never anticipated. With markets closed, even finding basic items like nails was impossible, and organizing set decorations became a distant dream.
But the greatest thing was the team. They had a clear mindset—they believed in the story and felt it needed to be told. Despite the lack of facilities, our actors never once made us feel like we were falling short. Everyone—from the cast to the technical crew—gave it their all. The technical team, especially, worked tirelessly, being the last to sleep and the first to rise each day. We couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of the locals who stepped in to help us when we needed it most.
Completing this film under such tough conditions and with no finances truly feels like a dream come true. Thank you for believing in us! 🙏 #SochAPerception #CSAFF #IIFFB #IndieFilm #Shimla #LowBudgetFilm #VFX #Teamwork #DreamProject #BeliefInTheStory #hindifilms | Posted on 30/Aug/2024 05:24:08
