Today is World Suicide Prevention Day.
And I just wanted to send my thoughts to whoever walks their earth with these shadows on their minds.
I know when all the light gets blocked out, it’s hard to see anything.
It’s hard to see your place in the world.
It’s hard to see you worth, to the people around you.
I hope you know, whoever you are
That I am so happy that you’re still here.
I am so happy
That you’re still here.
And I am so proud of you.
And plead you, to keep going.
Because even though it might feel like leaving, will be the only thing to bring peace.
It will do the very opposite.
It will move all your pain to the people you love.
It will make a hole in their hearts.
It will make a hole in the soul of the earth.
Because the fact that you’re here, matters.
And to whoever hurt you in this life, outlive them.
This you have to promise me.
I send love to everyone out there, grieving the ones who lost their battle with their mind, ending with Sui*ide.
I hope you know you did everything you could.
I hope you know it’s not your fault.
I hope you know it’s ok to feel your grief coloured by anger too.
We all know there is darkness all around us.
We just don’t know who around us,
Is entirely lost within them.
It looks different on everyone.
This is why we have to truly look around us.
Not only eachother, but into eachother.
Use what we know about our own pain, to understand the pain the people around us might be feeling.
We are so much more less alone than we believe.
Ask at least a person every day
“How is your heart?”
“How is your mind?”
Talk to eachother.
Ask for help.
Words are the most powerful weapon we have.
