Excited to announce new documentary BLVD!!! This film is dire and should have been made long ago. Exploring everything from why every MLK street looks the same, to the brilliance and the resilience of Black people. This documentary isn’t just a reflection on Black people but on America! Thank you @mediaresstudio @brandonrfsharp for your incredible support! Link to article in bio
WOW! Close to four years when I finally released this Country/Blues song “That’s Why I Love You” After writing it in 2000! (Crazy). I wrote this song when I was singing in the NY Subway for a living. Jumping turnstiles and being ran away from the cops cause I didn’t have a permit lol. It was really tough singing in the Subway but gratifying as well. In 2005 I was able to record it. I held on to it until COVID 2020. 🤦🏽♀️ Today as a filmmaker, I look back on ALL of the sacrifices and dedication it took to be here. Missed out on birthdays, funerals, life…. Some moments I’m not too proud of. Im working on me though. Making me better by forgiving myself first. Remembering I’m a human just being. The point of this post is: IM BLESSED! YOURE blessed! Stop waiting and just get it done! I’ve paid ALOT of dues but I’m becoming truly a happier person. I know I don’t post much but I’m working on something INCREDIBLE to share with guys! 🎥 🩵 Directed by Jonny Panga Hyped up by @idreambettyidol Make up by @makeupbydmitry Hair by @lorenzodiazhair Song written and Produced by me

Waking up crying is the strangest thing. You’re not prepared. You just have to take it all in. That was Quincy Jones’s legacy! Catching you off guard. I literally want to crawl under a rock for a day…Last time I cried this hard was the day of my grandmothers funeral. Male or female, Quincy was my greatest inspiration! Thank you for encouraging us all to imagine! The things you achieved are too great for an IG post, so I’ll frustratingly leave it at, thank you! RIP KING
