Jackie Cruz Instagram – Last night was truly unforgettable. From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in warm embraces, as if I were stepping into a cherished family Christmas gathering. The room was filled with joy and excitement, all for our film “Say a Little Prayer.” Watching it for the first time last night, I found myself shedding a few tears. The evening was perfect—a sold-out night with laughter echoing all around, witnessing the culmination of our hard work on this romantic Latino comedy.
A heartfelt thank you to @laliff_, our incredible director @patperezworld, producer @iamcristinanava, and the brilliant writer @nancydlsr, who spent 20 years bringing this vision to life. Your little prayer was answered, and I am deeply honored to be a part of it.
I also want to express my gratitude to everyone who made me feel beautiful last night. Having just given birth after making this movie, I wasn’t feeling entirely like myself and was a bit nervous to watch it. But thanks to all the love and support, and the wonderful character Ruby, I felt uplifted. Stepping into Ruby’s cowboy boots allowed me to let go of my fears and truly embrace the moment. That’s the magic of acting—finding comfort in another’s shoes, even if they’re cowboy boots.
Last night, we made people laugh and cry together, and it was a gift to share that with all of you. We have one more showing today at 4:30. Please come watch it, and I would love to thank you personally.
