Janet Mbugua Instagram – Here’s a fact about me: when something weighs on my mind or spirit, I can get hyperactive just talking about it. And right now, that something is femicide. In this video, I’m unpacking the data, patterns, and norms surrounding it, and I’m feeling a mix of anger, sadness, fear, and frustration.
One death should be enough to move us to action. Yet despite countless lives lost this year alone, where is the urgency from our courts? They acted swiftly when it came to impeaching a public official—so why don’t they show the same resolve here?

We can’t allow our country to become a crime scene. It’s time to demand justice.
