This is 32 🙊 As I step into this year, I am realizing something that I want to share; I feel that I’m recognizing more and more of myself as a child in the woman that I am now and that I am becoming. When I was a kid, I courageously liked what I liked and showed up in spaces just as I was. I was shy at times, I was silly at times, and I was observant and investigative most of the time. Somewhere along the way, I started to judge those parts of myself and strived to be the most outgoing and charismatic person in the room. I convinced myself that in order to be whole, I needed to be loved and desired by everyone. As I reflect and sit with the woman I am today, I accept that I am no longer interested in fighting so hard to shape who I think I am “supposed” to be. I can be quiet, I can be loud, I can say no, I can sit in stillness, I can just be. I accept that the map in my mind differs slightly from the terrain that is reality. And I want to choose the terrain every time. I am learning to drop the ideas that I’ve cultivated along the way that no longer serve me. And that feels so liberating 🥰 I thank God for bringing us to this beautiful land for my birthday this year. I am working on a movie in the Jungle that is both challenging and deeply fulfilling. I am being propelled into spaces that are new and unfamiliar but the call feels so aligned. I am here. I cannot wait to share this one with you all! This one is for you, Little Kiana! 🐒🐢🐛🦋💜🙏🏽
