Lindsay Mendez Instagram – Thankful.
I am unbelievably thankful this year for family. My family and friends have always shown up for me…but this year, with a million life events packed in…a tv series, a Broadway show, a wedding, a 3 year old’s first day of school, a Tony season, the birth of a new baby, a move….they have been strong, kind, loving, and unrelenting in their support and encouragement…and even at times where I didn’t think I would make it…their energy pushed me through.
And then there’s my beautiful husband…who became “husband” this year. It took me until now to believe I deserved someone as wonderful as you, J. And while I weep for the girl who settled for less and thought so little of herself for so long…I rejoice in how all of those lessons got me here…and feel so honored to be walking this life with you. This life…culminating to the birth of our amazing daughter, Ruby.
The only thing missing today…our sweet Lucille. She is spending thanksgiving with her dad this year. Shared custody i heartbreaking and difficult to say the least. But I’m grateful beyond measure for the amazing little girl she is.
And during holidays where I don’t have her…how lucky I am to have this family around me.
