Natasha Marc Instagram – This tattoo is a dedication to my cousin Keisha (Keedy) , who passed from cancer last year…. I remember going home for the funeral walking into her home office and seeing this scripture on the wall next to desk with an attached mustard seed… the feeling that went through my soul, my veins when reading this….
Something about the mustard seed and thinking of how much weight she was carrying knowing that one day maybe a day too soon she was going to have to leave her sons and husband behind.
The last time we spoke her spirits were high, we laughed and clowned and talked about me coming to spend a weekend with her. At her funeral so many ppl that had worked with her came up to me and asked if I was her cousin that’s the movie star and told me how much she spoke of me how proud she was of me for getting out of the city and following my dreams.
She was the cousin that schooled me, that set the good examples, we did everything together, from parades, second lines, block parties, hair… everything .
I never thought the new Tash would get a neck tattoo not at this age at least but this is one I want people to see and ask about so that her name stay on my tongue and the sound of her laugh stay in my spirit. I miss her so much. #fuckcancer ….
