In ‘Aisha’, Al Arashi pays homage to the lineage of women she descends from, inspired by the life of her great-grandmother. Through beautiful photography and heartfelt writing, she reflects on memories of her family and explores themes of intergenerational storytelling, colonial archives, and female identity across borders.
The book features portraits of women from Northern Africa, capturing their joy, strength, and resilience.
