Thank you for seeking me and seeing me; honoring the canon of my work thus far with care and respect.
I’m grateful for the many women who’ve forged the path for me to follow.
Lupe Ontiveros had a storied career that began on stage, from 1968, and expanded to big and small screens for decades thereafter. She notably brought her heart and soul to every role she portrayed, infusing each character with memorable morsels of authenticity, humor, dignity, and an understated strength.
I treasure the privilege of serving the myriad characters who have colored my career, and caught the attention of your community. Thank you for celebrating me as you celebrate the many other talented women in film worldwide. What a delight to be in the room, to witness the works of women with expansive imaginations as well as personal intimate explorations.
I am honored for the recognition and support.
