I am honored to receive this recognition from Hon’ble Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
On September 24th, the Ministry launched the “Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.0,” a 60-day initiative focused on raising awareness about tobacco consumption, especially among vulnerable youth. This event inaugurated over 2000 Tobacco Cessation Centres nationwide and introduced essential guidelines, including:
• The Health Workers Guide
• SOPs for Tobacco-Free Villages
• Guidelines for Law Enforcers on the 2024 Tobacco Control Laws
Renowned figures from the government, entertainment industry, sports fraternity and creators were recognized for their efforts in spreading awareness. The government also encouraged everyone to participate in promoting the Anti-Tobacco Campaign, particularly through social media, to reach a larger audience.
I truly appreciate the government’s commitment and efforts towards this cause and hopefully this will be a huge success . I’m glad to be a part of this important initiative.
