I recently spoke to a few moms about the problems they faced while getting their kids and themselves vaccinated. I had also put up an Instagram story asking moms to share their challenges. Most common responses were difficulty in maintaining in the physical file, keeping track of vaccine schedules, unavailability of vaccines and so on.
This led me to a government portal that is trying to solve these issues! The UWIN App.
What is Uwin?
Uwin is a government portal to manage childhood vaccinations. Parents can register their kids, track vaccination schedules digitally, and ensure timely immunizations, aiming for “Anytime Access” and “Anywhere” vaccination services.
How to book an appointment:
1. Visit the Uwin portal and register or log in.
2. Click on “Vaccination Services” and select a center.
3. Choose a time slot, fill in necessary details, and confirm.
4. After vaccination, download your certificate and get SMS alerts for upcoming doses.
As of November 2024, 7.43 crore beneficiaries have registered, 1.26 crore vaccination sessions held, and 27.77 crore doses administered on U-Win.
