this week we hosted our annual holiday event for local immigrant families. i came here with my mom from Cuba, and i have more and more family that comes to Miami from Cuba every year. we saw a need for an event where there could be information about job resources, English classes, healthcare, vaccination- where families could get extra clothes, and where kids could come and play and also get some toys, backpacks for school, etc. also where people that have recently immigrated and are feeling alone can meet each other and create community. Miami is so special and vibrant because of the immigrants that have come here, they deserve support so they can not only survive, but also flourish and succeed. we started it last year and are continuing the tradition. thank you to our partners @laurenwsanchez ♥️, @thisisabouthumanity, @mfpfordemocracy, @catholic.legal.services.miami, and @creatingmemiami and a huge thanks to @lorealparis, @drinkolipop, @democracyclothing, @dagnedover, @mattel, @buddysystemmia, @fridababy, @lalo, @cravingsbychrissyteigen and many others for their generous donations to these families and for investing in our community ♥️ SEGUIMOS PA LANTE MI GENTE, DALE QUE TU PUEDES ♥️
