Chrissie Swan Instagram – It’s SPATULA TIME for @foodbankvictoria again my angels! Last year, and all because of YOU, Foodbank sourced the equivalent of 92 million meals – that’s 252,000 meals every day for gorgeous humans in our community who are doing it tough. WE CAN DO IT AGAIN!

MUST DOs:
Mini Jam Rolls ESSENTIAL NO BUTS.
Glass trifle bowl (gotta SEE the jelly and custard and peaches and swirly jam rolls)
Make the custard from the box. Carton stuff is a bit too runny – you need it THICK.
Madeira cake (supermarket perfection) bulks it up without adding jammy sweetness.
Don’t make it bougie. This is Trifle. My Gran was the eldest of 7 and grew up on a sugar cane farm. The fanciest she got with it was some discs of sliced banana.
‘Port Wine’ flavoured jelly has no other role in the universe than to be cubed into Christmas Trifle. Don’t deny it its one time to shine.
Sherry is optional but you’ll hear from Uncle Ron if you omit it.
Whip some extra cream for your Mum.
