Lena had no idea she would be 1 of a 855 strong battalion of women of color sent to Europe during WWII. These ladies would not only help her become the soldier she was destined to be, but they would teach her the importance of rest, encourage dancing, help her open up to a new love, and remind her that they always have her back.
