This portrait is completely hand embroidered using cross stitch technique.There is no machine involved or any printing on the fabric.Each colour is counted and depicted by crosses to make the final pattern.This is made by needy women from villages near Kolkata.These women have been able to get empowered by some sort of financial independence that they are able to get due to this.
