Jade Tailor Instagram – I found this in the archives from a few years back and thought it fitting to bring it back in honor of Wicked having come to the big screen… but also to honor what is currently on my heart. Sometimes saying goodbye to something or someone can break our hearts, and sometimes it is the very thing that heals them, and lights the way forward having changed us forever. From the lessons learned, to the love that remains, to the memories that will forever stay… I sit here in gratitude for every moment I get to gratefully say… my heart is forever changed. As I sit here pondering goodbyes, saying farewell to what once was, I wonder how often we sit in the pain of losing something or someone rather sitting in gratitude for all the beautiful things it has left you with.
It has me recalling the phrase, “it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.” So, if you’re currently facing a loss or some form of goodbye, I hope this song touches your heart as it has mine, and allows you to remember the gift that person or thing once gifted you will continue to remain.
