@kennedycenter honors!! What a night!! Completely mind blown from last night’s show. The show airs December 22nd on @cbstv and @paramountplus. Trust me, you guys do not want to miss this one. I’m so grateful to have a history with the Kennedy Center that started 10 years ago for a concert at the center on World @Refugees Day, to this year, as part of the @RecordingAcademy’s committee for the PEACE through music award. This year, I have been quietly working on something truly special with the amazing team at the Kennedy Center for 2025, and I can’t wait for all of you to see it!!! I have to say, last night was probably the first time in my life where my deep love for film, music history, and activism collided in the most magnificent way through the celebration of the honorees. One of the best shows of my life. Absolutely nuts!!! ✨💥💓

Last summer on stage at @szigetofficial in Budapest, I said “People seeking asylum don’t leave everything behind. They carry their talents, their skills, and their dreams with them.” Today, on Human Rights Day, I’m reflecting on how much my work with @refugees has taught me about hope and resilience. Refugees I’ve met around the world—from Europe to Africa to Central America—remind me that creating safety and belonging is not just necessary, it’s possible. Let’s keep building a world where everyone forced to flee can find safety, opportunities and #HopeAwayFromHome #RefugeesWelcome #HumanRightsDay
I’ve discovered the recipe for a great time in Brazil: a cultural gathering with refugees from all over the world. 💖 Congolese actress @prudencekalambay and I cooked together with friends, preparing a traditional meal and inviting people from different countries to join us. The result? Delicious! @refugees @acnurbrasil Descobri a receita para um ótimo momento no Brasil: um encontro cultural com @refugees de todo o mundo. 💖 A atriz congolesa @prudencekalambay e eu cozinhamos juntas com amigos, preparando uma refeição tradicional e convidando pessoas de diferentes países para se juntarem a nós.
