Kelsey Owens Instagram – Many of you don’t know this, but on my wedding day, the fire alarms were blaring throughout my entire father daughter dance. And yet, it didn’t matter one bit, because my favorite father daughter dance didn’t happen that day. It happened before the wedding, in my sweats, both of us in our Cards gear, a few cocktails deep, dancing outside my future home. In that moment, I wasn’t a bride-to-be I was 8 years old again, twirling around the dance floor at the father daughter dances, laughing and having the best time with my daddy.
It’s a memory I will cherish forever—a snapshot of who you are: fun loving, present, and always making me feel like your little girl no matter how old I get.
Dad, I hope you know the impact you’ve had on my life. You’ve set the bar so high as a parent, and if I can be even half the parent you’ve been to me one day I’ll be so proud.
