At 41 weeks pregnant and 2 days, on September 11th, our little 8.1 lb baby girl was born – she waited for her Daddy’s birthday 💝
We were doing our best the day before to max out my oxytocin and put me into labour – turns out a bowl of pho did the trick 🍜
It was a wild ride overnight – I don’t know if there’s anything that could have prepared us for how intense this experience was going to be 🤯 But my midwife knew exactly what to do (even when things went a little sideways after her birth) and my man quickly figured out how to be all the support I needed to have the unmedicated birth I had planned.
And now all is well. We are resting and healing and snuggling. I had my mom here nursing me back to strength while I nursed my new baby girl and she just left me with a fridge and two freezers full of food 🥰.
I am so grateful. This is life 💕
