Once upon a time, a girl, walking around a foreign town, spotted a cherry blossom tree. Finding this rare, highly romanticised efflorescing plant, SO unexpectedly, got her excited, expectedly. She saw the flowers in all their glory and wanted to take in their vanilla-like fragrance & bask in their spiritual essence of mortality. But most importantly, what she saw, was an instagrammable opportunity!
As she extended her hand, half in an attempt to strike a pose (for constructing the candid-ness of the moment) & half to feel the velvety texture of the petals,(she could only imagine!), she realised the flowers were indeed, not the cherry blossoms she had seen in movies & read about in books. They were, in fact, in reality, complete FAKES! Fake flowers?!
The disappointment wore down her enthusiasm, albeit for a passing moment. Because, she realised, soon enough, that real or fake, cherry blossoms or some grocery store decor, the girl, this girl, got an instagrammable post out of it.
And she slurped ramen happily ever after 🥰
