The psoas muscle is located deep in your abdomen. A strong psoas helps stabilize your lower back by supporting your spine and pelvis during movement.

Try these three strengthening moves to open your psoas, strengthen your butt and protect your lower back. Do this circuit three times!

– “Elevator” Split Squat: 10 reps right leg, 10 reps left leg.
– Single Leg Horizontal Crunch: 10 reps right leg, 10 reps left leg.
