Meera Joshi Instagram – “A day well spent at the birthplace of the legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj! I’m still reeling from the experience of visiting the cradle of this iconic figure. What made it even more special was seeing my mother, who’s above 60 and bravely managing knee problems, trek the fort and Lenyadri caves with so much enthusiasm. Her determination and spirit are truly inspiring! The historic Shivneri Fort, where Raje was born, is a testament to his courage and legacy. Inside the fort, we visited the beautiful temple dedicated to Goddess Shivai Devi, after whom Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was named. The temple is a serene spot, surrounded by the majestic hills and valleys of the Sahyadri range. Feeling grateful for this opportunity to connect with history and create memories with my mother.
