Misha Highstead Instagram – Las Vegas hosted an epic stomach-to-stomach battle between competitive eaters Joey Chestnut and Takeru Kobayashi and one gut reigned supreme!
Chestnut DESTROYED Kobayashi by eating EIGHTY-THREE hot dogs in ten minutes, SIXTEEN more than his rival!
AND he set a new world record in the process!
The crazy scene went down LIVE on Netflix’s “Unfinished Beef” event from the Hyper X Arena at the Luxor, hosted by ex-WWE star Nikki Garcia, and actor Rob Riggle.
The two eaters had to chow down on whole hot dogs in buns, WITHOUT dunking or soaking the buns, or eating the meat and bun separately – in other words, the hard way!
It was an impressive battle, and marked the first time Chestnut and Kobayashi had faced off since 2009.
And in addition to bragging rights and a new world record, Chestnut ALSO took home a hundred THOUSAND dollars and a championship belt.
