Under the Ayushman Bharat(PM-JAY) scheme, government has launched a new Vaya Vandana Card, which provides free healthcare access of upto 5 lakhs for senior citizens aged 70 and above.
Benefits:
👉Any person aged 70 can enroll under this scheme regardless of their income category
👉No waiting period, which means the coverage starts from Day One of the enrollment
👉5 lakh worth of benefit per year in the enlisted hospitals
👉Citizens already having a private health insurance are also eligible to enroll under this scheme
👉Those families who already hold a Ayushman card can add the senior citizen under the same.
