Nadia Jamil Instagram – She simply loved the little reading cubbies! Uff. There is something for everyone! Mir, Mehvish Baji, Nur and I all became members of the amazing @aliflaila_official today. I picked up two books on herbal remedies and Ayurveda, Mir picked up two books, so did Mahvish Baji, and Nuri picked up two amazing books. Nuri played in the play area, did some recreational work in the Early Learning Area, and then we bought a whole bunch of beautiful arts and crafts and a book, the proceeds for some specific products go to Palestine, the rest to women from the local community, who made the arts and crafts. The main library is awesome with a ladder that you can slide around the room as you search the shelves. The bus is fascinating and super cozy. The best thing is that Nuri learned the concept of BORROWING books and returning them once she has read them. Danny and The Dinosaur is a great award winning book and has become such a favourite that we’ve read it thrice already in one evening. The book called Gardens Of Hope is a beautiful work of art written and illustrated BY THE CHILDREN OF PALESTINE. Please do buy it. Love led sharing this all with you. And hope to have Nuris birthday party right here with my puppets and lots of amazing boos and activities. The price for joining this beautiful space is Rs 500 a year. Let’s get our children into the habit of revering books and libraries. Let’s teach them it’s lovely to borrow a book, and return it. We don’t always have to buy them. And let’s keep protecting these amazing spaces for our children. Alif Laila Bus Society makes sure it reaches ALL children!
