Patricia De Leon Instagram – Yesterday I took, a big step in my journey, one that has taken almost 25 years to unfold. February 22, i still remember, I arrived in Los Angeles, California, with no expectations, not much in my pockets, and not much to wear. I thought I’d be here for just a week, but the one thing I did know was that whatever I was about to experience would help me grow into who I am today.
This land has made me stronger. I’ve become a lion, especially in this city. I’ve learned how to take hard hits and, more importantly, how to rise up stronger and faster. It gave me the opportunity to pursue a career I didn’t even know I was meant to have. I learned how to smile through the heartbreak of homesickness, missing my family, culture, friends—the life I knew. I discovered the true meaning of friendship, became wiser, met my partner, and became a mother.
This land adopted me, and now, I have a life and also a home here, and I am so grateful for it.
