Early yesterday, we lost my wonderful grandmother. There are so many things I could say about her, but none would be able to articulate how brave and intelligent and resilient she was. I hope I can grow to be even half the lady she was. I inherited my love of collecting and scrapbooking old photographs from her and I’m so grateful. I spent so much time poring over those albums, where she recorded the lives of the ones she loved. Yesterday, all of us sat and looked over those albums and shared our stories of her. We shared and reminisced and laughed and cried a little. Thank you for everything Per. I know your boys are setting up a joyous welcome committee in the Hereafter. 🤍🕊️ “You don’t move on after loss, but you must move with. You must shake hands with grief, welcome her in, for she lives with you now. Pull her a chair at the table and offer her comfort. She is not the monster you first thought her to be. She is love. And she will walk with you now, stay with you now, peacefully. If you let her. And on the days when your anger is high, remember why she came, remember who she represents. Remember.
