Sara Bareilles Instagram – I’ve been looking for the right words and reflections to share about the experience I had at the Hollywood bowl. My therapist texted me the next morning and asked “One word?” I sat for a long time to answer. I couldn’t give her one. I gave her two.
Powerful.
Wobbly.
I try to stand on the precipice of my own comfort. I like to see what shows up and if I can keep building my tolerance for being proud of the effort without attachment to the outcome.
And I’m so happy to say I am proud of the effort AND the outcome.
Thank you to the @hollywoodbowl and the esteemed Orchestra for levitating me. #thomaswilkins you’re a legend for a reason. Thank you Maestro. Thank you @arrangedbydavid for your glorious arrangements and the care with which they were made. @mooserob – your orchestrations were extraordinary and your friendship and guidance as my liaison and translator into the music world was priceless. Okay, I owe you $10.
Thank you to my unbelievable crew, but led and mixed by @smithtrey, and stage design by @jasonsherwooddesign, and lit by @emarchwinski…but so many hands lifted this night- lucky us!
My loves who pulled me together to step onstage @savwhite, @fionastiles , @brianfisherhair – you make me feel ready INSIDE and OUT! Thank you @bootswallace for so many of these beautiful photographs!!
