Somkele Iyamah Idhalama Instagram – This trip is an answered prayer…literally.
Late last year, I got on the OKR (Objective Key Results) band wagon from work and decided to apply it to my personal life. I wrote down 5 key areas of my life and under each one, wrote down 5 key results I’d want to see in 2024. (For context, I’m a go with the flow than a goal/target person so this was very abnormal for me).
I got inspired to do this after also closing the year out with fasting and prayer with @pastorpoju. That closed out with a prayer style I had not consciously done before…praying in the Spirit for 7hours straight. (12am-7am) my time.
Long story short, one of the key results was a family vacation focused on the kids. I check my email and see a reminder for a wish for Jordan. He was nominated by his medical team @sickkidstoronto to have @makeawish_canada grant him any wish he wanted. He had a list of different categories and the vacation wish was granted.
I have come to say THANK YOU Lord for turning what was meant for evil to good and turning our sorrow into dancing. That a season of our lives that was extremely trying to say the least, has brought us such joy can only be the definition of ‘good works that last’.
