I’ve lived chapters absolutely bursting with self confidence and chapters thick and heavy with self doubt. I have respected and disrespected myself in equal parts throughout but the one thing that’s never changed is me attempting to love myself the way I know I deserve to be loved. I may not always succeed, sometimes I forget to give myself a little grace, my self talk may not always be loving, but I have always been able to identify my self doubts and criticisms for what they are- temporary.
I’m at the start of another chapter now. It will no doubt be filled with ups and downs, plot twists and surprise guests, but I’m excited for it all. I may not be the [only] one wielding the pen but I sure as hell am the one turning the page.
