I spent a few days exploring this stunning country with my friend, and honestly, I hadn’t heard much about it beforehand.
This place surprised me in all the best ways. If you’re an introvert and sometimes need a break from the crowd, Montenegro is PERFECT. There’s so much space, peaceful vibes, and fewer tourists than you’d expect! And the landscapes are straight out of a postcard!
Here are some quick tips to keep in mind if you’re planning to visit:
👉The best time to visit is between April to September. Beat the summer heat and enjoy cooler, more manageable hiking weather.
👉Budget-Friendly food and stay: Hit up a local bakery for burek and pair it with fresh yogurt for the ultimate local breakfast. There are plenty of low to mid budget options for accommodations too.
👉 English isn’t widely spoken, especially in smaller towns, so expect some language barriers. Learning a few basic phrases and practicing hand gestures will go a long way!
