Who would’ve thought that making friends miles apart from home could be THIS easy!?
Despite our differences—whether it’s our language, our clothes, or our looks—we are 99.9% the same. It’s that tiny 0.1% but underneath it, we’re all human. We connect on so many levels.
I’ve been to places where language barriers seemed huge, yet I’ve still shared incredible moments with people. Sometimes, it’s a smile, a simple hello, or even just sharing a meal that bridges the gap.
Realizing this has taught me to be much kinder. Seeing how everyone has different roles and perspectives, but is navigating life with the same mix of struggles, makes me realize that we are all in this together.
We all make mistakes and are figuring out life, just like everyone else. This realization has made me much more compassionate, both during my travels and in my everyday life. When I come back from a trip, I try to carry this kindness with me and I truly believe travelling will force you to be kind too.
It’s a simple reminder that we’re all related and are trying to make sense of life on the same planet.
