FUN FACT: This concept means so much to me, that I got it tattooed on my arm! 😛
We often see truth as an absolute concept, but the reality is that it’s highly subjective. Each of us grows up in a unique environment, influenced by our culture, societal norms, and personal experiences, which shape our version of what is right and wrong. This becomes our truth.
Travelling has taught me that truth is not a singular, universal concept but a spectrum of perspectives. What is considered right or beautiful in one culture can be completely foreign to another.
It’s important to recognize that while our truths come from our background and beliefs, there’s no single “correct” truth. (MOSTLY)
As travelers, our role is not to adopt or judge these different truths but to respect them.
Also, this idea isn’t limited to traveling; it applies everywhere. Understanding that there are various truths has helped me navigate daily life, where different perspectives challenge and sometimes confuse me. It has made me less judgmental and more open-minded in my interactions.
Ultimately, while people follow different versions of truth, there’s one universal message: to be kind.
