Our director @dp_yellen is up for a #DGAaward for Daruma! And in a somewhat serendipitous twist of fate voting ends Jan 6, the same day the #DarumaFestival begins in Japan!
This is the only guild award that the film is up for, and our last chance to make an impact with a film that took us 17 years to make. If you are in the guild or know somebody who is eligible to vote, please share this with them and encourage them to vote for Alex!
Voting ends January 6! From start to finish, our entire work on this film has been via grassroots outreach, and we are hopeful that the community and connections we have made can help us fulfill this goal and further raise the profile of the first authentically cast film in US cinematic history to star two leads with disabilities and a narrative not about overcoming disability!
