I was torn between two identities:
👉 Becoming a stay-at-home mom, putting my dreams on hold.
👉 Or chasing my business goals, worried it meant I was choosing me over my family.
For the first year, I did what felt “right” at the time. I spent every single day with my child, no breaks, no separation, thinking this is what a good mom does. But the truth? I started to fade.
I felt resentful, overwhelmed, and disconnected—from myself, from my purpose, and ironically, even from my family.
The turning point came when I made a decision that felt terrifying: I took myself on a solo trip, leaving my family behind for the first time. It wasn’t easy, but I needed to reconnect with who I was outside of being a mom.
And here’s what I learned:
My family is happiest when I’m happiest.
I realized that I thrive when I honor my individuality—when I’m pursuing my passions, growing my business, and creating a life that lights me up. And guess what? When I’m fulfilled, I have more to give as a mom and a partner.
