September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Over the years this has sometimes passed without me acknowledging it publicly, and other times I’ve posted. It remains complicated for me as I navigate protecting Tilly’s privacy with also wanting to raise awareness and use a “platform” for the cause. Figuring out how to be authentic, safe, open but not too open, etc has been a decade long challenge. Childhood Cancer wasn’t something that I ever thought about until it affected me directly. I reflect back on that time as the worst, most deeply traumatic time of my life, but also with immense gratitude for the support I had and the people around me who helped. I’ll never ever ever forget your kindness. I know too many other families experience the same, roughly 46 new diagnoses every day, and it hurts me to think about their experiences going unacknowledged. Tilly is old enough and at a place to know more about her journey and manage her story. I share because I want to encourage people to help in whatever way they can- whether that is by helping a family or donating to any one of dozens of fantastic organizations. I will tag some of my favorites, and also a sweet family I’ve been following that could use some love. The gold ribbon in my bio is for Childhood Cancer Awareness, and it’s the one part of me that I never wanted but will never stop being present because it impacts our lives every single day. If you do anything to acknowledge Childhood Cancer Awareness month this September and count Tilly among the heroes you may be honoring, I appreciate it. ❤️ 🎗️ #gogoldinseptember #gogoldforchildhoodcancer @nataliethemighty @alexslemonade @stjude @stbaldricks @curesearch @loveyourmelon

I’m here to put a stop to the madness (the 3-4 comments). Let’s watch my face evolution over 15 years on tv. Don’t compliment me either, as that is not the point. If you must, comment “medium job done here.”
Ranking my bb12 wardrobe ……. what a time. Credit to @rachelereillyvillegas for the inspiration.
