Brittany Packnett Instagram – New year, same group chat energy.
For our first UNDISTRACTED episode of 2025, you know I had to call @drdavidjohns and @professor_crunk.
We got into our resolutions: unbridled joy, crafting projects, being a low-key menace… And we’re saying goodbye to what we’re leaving in 2024: no more mental gymnastics and jumping through hoops for people who don’t care about us, because the 2024 feel-good Olympics are over.
If you’re like me, December and January hold a special kind of weight: the holidays, solstice, and the energy of a fresh start. Not to mention bracing for the new administration coming later in January. Looking back on this year, identifying as a woman of faith in a world where “faith” is so often weaponized both at home and abroad can leave a girl reaching. Because, full disclosure, the Jesus I worship had bronze skin, was born in Palestine, and lived and died for all people.
Enter Rev. Neichelle Guidry (@neichelleg), who I am honored to have join me for the conversation I’ve craved for so long. Faith, radical politics, and why the intimate conversations we share quietly, curiously, and authentically matter just as much as the loud, divisive ones broadcast all over our timelines.
We’re leaving broken nails and broken promises in 2024 and stepping into 2025 with clarity, craftiness, and a little side-eye to the moderate agenda. And, oh yeah, we’re still, always, UNDISTRACTED.
