Chandrika Ravi Instagram – “People on Postcards” is a project I created that is as much about shedding light on my friends that chase their dreams as it is about the intention, lifespan, and journey of a postcard. The messages that are written on these postcards are more than often thoughtful, expressing love, admiration, or longing for a touch that’s physically out of reach. Postcards are used as letters of endearment that magnify that difference between a digital email using typeface and the energy transferred between loved one’s when pen stroke and familiar handwriting are the chosen tools. You may know or recognize some of the people throughout this project and some I’m almost certain you will not. Either way, they’re my friends. And they’re all valuable.
