Every year, I revisit the full version of this video to relive just how magical that day truly was. It was a labor of love, planned over two years on a tight budget—and it was perfect in every way.
I still laugh at the little details: my dress, wrinkled from traveling solo a week early to prep with my mom, only to be frantically steamed by my bridesmaids an hour before the ceremony. You and your brother braving a storm to haul wedding chairs up the mountain in a U-Haul. The DIY centerpieces from Costco. Making sure friends and family mingled, laughed, and had the time of their lives. And of course, praying for New Year’s snow—only to be blessed with snow and fireworks.
Someone once told me, “Your wedding is just one day—it’s the marriage that matters.” While that’s true, there isn’t a single thing I’d change about our wedding. It was the perfect start to the life we’ve built together.
