Cici Coleman Instagram – If you’re feeling unhappy, ask yourself this: “what can I learn from me right now?”

I’ve noticed that when I’m feeling down, it often comes from boredom or procrastination. Even though I know that getting outside for a walk is probably the best thing I can do, sometimes it feels like the hardest step to take.

Did you know that if you do four 22-minute daily walks, you’ll reach 10,000 steps? Once I realised this, I felt more motivated to get out outside because I was removing boredom and supporting my weight loss journey.
I built this into my daily routine by:
A) getting off the bus a stop early, and walking to work. 1 walk down ✅
B) taking a stroll during my lunch break, 2 walks down ✅
C) I’d do the same on the way home ✅
D) after dinner, I’d squeeze in one more 22-minute walk ✅

This simple change drastically reduced my procrastination because I had a daily goal to aim for. I felt accomplished; the extra movement improved my sleep, I shed some weight and I felt happier.

Walking won’t fix all life’s problems, but it’s a great way to improve your mood. My best advice? Schedule it. You’re more likely to make it happen if it’s on your calendar. | Posted on 12/Sep/2024 16:24:31
