It’s ok to not spout off and be the expert at this time. It’s ok to just sit with people during this loss- LONG TERM support is what’s going to be needed from you, not just the first 2 weeks, similar to what happens to a grieving family after a funeral, how all the “help” goes away after 14-21 days.
Just Expounding on the aftermath of wildfires and total loss in Los Angeles. Especially after 1. Living in LA for 15 years and 2. Just experiencing back to back hurricanes now that I live in Florida and seeing the devastation here after storm surges, on top of the hurricane destruction, flooded homes with 10 feet of water and 3.
