Courtney Halverson Instagram – Arrived in Paris in the early hours of the morning, mostly sleepless but feeling utterly blissful at being back in my favorite city, waking up right next to the Louvre.
It’s a bittersweet feeling in some ways. Many of you know that I have been grieving for the past few months after losing Mops; she would have turned 16 this week and I felt so broken when I remembered her birthday. I’ve mostly been moving slowly, giving myself time to heal, knowing that it will be a long time before I feel truly like myself again, until I find my new normal.
Much of the videos and photos I’ve shared recently were things I had sitting on a hard drive from previous shoots, the idea of picking up my camera again felt impossible for a while. But lately I’ve been getting back into creative projects, and it feels healing for me to be able to make new things and new memories. I’m looking forward to sharing with you more on this trip – it’s a real full circle moment for the girl who first came here 7 years ago.
