Daniella Monet Instagram – My mantra this year is “Stay Ready”.
Life will always throw us curveballs, that’s a given, so ensuring that we equip ourselves with the tools, routine, and coping skills to get us through it all is key 🔑
Here are the ways I keep it all together and “stay ready” to do just that:
• First and foremost, I get the most mental, physical and emotional benefit from movement, and even more so if that movement is outdoors! This is usually what we can often sacrifice, so creating habit to MOVE daily is a must. Wake up earlier, if you’re at a desk for long periods of time set a timer to get up a walk/stretch/breathe.
• Secondly, sunshine. Get it. Soak it in. Close your eyes, sit in it. I teach my kids we need to sun to heal, to grow, to “charge”, to feel energy. 🌞
• I’d say tied at second is hydration, equally important to sunshine. Getting the right hydration can be a game changer mentally and physically, even emotionally. Often times when my kids are having a tricky time, I’ll ask “have you drank enough water”. I try to stick to natural spring water out of glass the best I can. 💧
• …you probably saw this one coming, but SLEEP, and good sleep at that. Been going to bed anywhere from 9-10p and getting up around 7a.
•and lastly, investing in MYSELF. For my future, for my sanity, for my health. Whether that be a workout class, a meal planner app 😉, a spa night…focusing on yourself and giving yourself the tools to thrive is so important.
